The Role of Corporate Social Responsibility in Supporting Second-Order Social Capital and Sustainable Innovation Ambidexterity

This research contributes to the developing literature on CSR, second-order social capital, and sustainable innovation ambidexterity by (1) offering a complete theoretical framework grounded related theories clarifying associations between four components of CSR proposed Carroll, because this model suggests company be responsible member society following required laws while generating profits conducting philanthropic initiatives, SSC, ambidexterity, (2) testing in new setting with target population. study focuses top-level management different manufacturing companies located Pakistan. A total 34 industries were selected using cluster sampling technique based their proximity cluster. Geographical location industry type as criteria group clusters. The data collected from 220 top middle-level managers analyzed partial least square method moderation analysis was conducted variance analysis. According findings study, economic, ethical, legal, philanthropical responsibilities all found have positive influence capital. legal responsibility did not whereas ambidexterity. will allow identify right mix initiatives manage SSC exploitation exploration techniques.
